Accounts Payable/Accounting Clerk

24 hrs./wk. on the day shift. Performs a variety of duties related to accounts payable, fixed assets and general accounting work.  Acts as back-up to the Hospital's Payroll Coordinator for weekly payroll.  Qualifications:  Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and two years of computerized accounting or bookkeeping work experience; or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrated the knowledge, skill and abilities to perform the above duties.  Requires intermediate computer literacy of Microsoft Word and Excel.  Must have strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.  Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.  Must be able to efficiently prioritize responsibilities.

BILLER/ANALYST

40 hrs./wk. - 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.  In this role, candidate will prepare billing statements and claim forms to insurance Payers and/or patients.  The key function of this position is to monitor submissions for prompt payment from all Payers to ensure maximization of revenues.  The successful Analyst will review and analyze medical charts for proper CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS coding for submission to various carriers.  Will research rejected or suspended claims for re-submission and payment.  Requirements:  Minimum of 2 years of healthcare and medical billing or collections exp. required.  Experience with medical Billing in a hospital or an acute care health facility is preferred.  Must have thorough knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS coding and medical terminology with thorough knowledge of insurance regulations, (government and/or commercial) and medical billing procedures and reimbursement forms.  Computer literacy required.  Experience with Meditech EMR a plus. Certified Nursing Assistant

Full time (40 hrs./wk.  Monday - Friday with call rotation for weekends, weekdays and holidays) as well as per diem positions available.  The Surgical Technologist is an individual with specialized education who functions as a member of the surgical team in the role of the scrub person.  He / she handles the instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during surgical procedures.  Will have an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon.  Will have the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.  Surgical Technologists work under medical supervision to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.  QualificationsMust be a Certified Surgical Technologist, a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program; certification is required; 2 years experience preferred; current  BLS certification required; Ortho experience preferred.

CLERK - Medical Records

Coder (Outpatient)

Coding resource will perform all types of Outpatient category coding, as required per the Hospital's needs.  When coding Outpatient encounters, coder is responsible for identifying principals and secondary diagnoses and procedures on all Outpatient discharges, assigning appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT and HCPCs codes to each and for verifying and maintaining the accuracy of the abstracted clnical and financial data.  Employee accepts accountability for quality, timeliness, completeness and accuracy of charts coded in each category and all abstraction and data entry to support all regulatory compliance, including core measures and hospital statistics.  Qualifications:  Formal HIM education with National Certification held for  both Inpatient and Outpatient - AHIMA- CCS, CPC, CHC, RHIA, RHIT.  Minimum 2 years progressive coding and/or coding review experience with claims processing and data abstrating responsibilities in a Hospital setting.  Strong ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and PCS coding knowledge required coupled with thorough understanding of coding ethics, audit, abstracting and compliance.  Strong verbal communication, written and presentation skills.  Strong computer/PC skills needed.

Director - Diagnostic Imaging

Full time position.  Plans, directs and monitors operations, functions and resources of the Diagnostic Imaging Dept. at Milford Hospital.  This includes, but is not limited to, X-ray/Diagnostics, CT Scan, Interventional Radiology, Mammography, MRI, Echocardiography, Ultrasound, PET, Bone Density and Radiology Records.  Is responsible for day to day operations and strategic planning of the Department.  Also responsible for regulatory compliance.  Requires a Bachelor of Science in Radiology, Clinical experience and at least 5 years of Management experience.  Advanced Certification in an advanced modality and Radiology Technology Licensure in Connecticut.

Director - Materials Management

Full time position.  Organized professional with excellent communication and customer service skills to manage and coordinate Purchasing, Receiving, Distribution and Inventory Management by planning, organizing, directing and controlling all facets of a comprehensive supply chain program.  This includes negotiating and contracting for a procurement of materials, supplies, services and equipment and the receiving, storing and distribution of supplies.  A Bachelors degree in business or related field, management experience and experience in a computerized supply and inventory system are required.  A Master's degree is preferred, experience with procurement in a healthcare environment is strongly desired and Meditech experience is a plus.

Director - Pharmacy

Full time position.  Participates in, oversees and directs the day-to-day operation and management of the Pharmacy Department.  In addition, the incumbent will plan, organize and implement hospital pharmacy policies and procedures in accordance with established policies of the hospital, in cooperation with other departments of the hospital, and in accordance with accepted standards of good pharmacy practice.  Candidates must hold a BS in Pharmacology, and advanced degree or Pharm D is desired.  Current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Connecticut and prior experience as a manager or assistant manager in a Hospital pharmacy is required.   Experience with Meditech and Omnicell is preferred. 

ECHOCARDIOGRAPHER

Performs a variety of non-invasive technical procedures in cardiac graphics utilizing high frequency sound waves to study movement and size of the various cardiac structures for the diagnosis of heart disorders. Emergency Room Technician

Will demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care to the appropriate age of the patient.  Facilitates timely, individualized care of assigned patient under the direction of the RN.  Works collaboratively with RN/MD staff in order to meet individualized needs of the patient.  Provides patient safety in a manner that prevents injury. Floor Refinisher / Service Aide

40 hrs./wk. 3 pm - 11:30 pm. Must work holidays and weekend coverage as needed.  Duties include trash, linen and medical waste removal;  general cleaning, sweeping, mopping of floors, shampooing carpets, buffing, stripping & waxing floors; general cleaning of patient areas and non-patient areas.  Floor care experience preferred.  Will train, however candidate must successfully complete floor care training program within 90 days.  Must be able to climbing ladders; bending and lifting up to 50lbs is required.   

 

HVAC Technician

40 hrs./wk. on the 1st shift.   Required to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis as per schedule and occasional shift work including 2nd and 3rd shift as per department needs.  Required to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime as per work demands.  Will provide support in snow removal on hospital grounds and off site areas as required.  Under the general supervision of the Director of Facilities or designee, is responsible for work of complex difficulty in operations, maintenance, modification, troubleshooting, and repair of facility HVAC systems which include all components related to commercial grade heating (low and high pressure boilers), ventilation, air handlers, and air conditioning units (centrifugal, DX units, split system units), air compressors and multi-zone systems that incorporate pneumatic, electronic, and/or programmable logic controls. Responsible for general building (main hospital) and off site facilities maintenance as work demand requires. Must have HS diploma, Trade school courses in HVAC, electricity, controls (electronic and pneumatic) preferred. HVAC position License required S1 or D1 with ability to  acquire OE2 License in 6 months from date of hire. Minimum of 5 years experience in related field. Perform work with greater degree of self-sufficiency and independence. Experience in Healthcare (Hospital or Long Term Care institutions) or Laboratory strongly preferred. Commercial experience could be acceptable if related to position. Knowledge of federal, state and local codes and ordinances related to facilities plumbing and piping systems. Ability to read schematics and blueprints and/or technical manuals, engineering drawings, and sequences of operations. Understanding and willing to learn of Building Automation Sytems. Fire Protection Systems, HVAC Systems and Building Maintenance. LEAD SERVICE AIDE/FLOOR REFINISHER

MRI TECHNOLOGIST

Performs all MRI Imaging exams and procedures in a hospital environment.  Ability to independently operate MRI scanner in a safe and effective manner while providing optimal patient care.  Prefer a minimum of 6 months MRI experience; successful completion from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology; minimum of 2 years diagnostic radiology experience, preferably in a hospital setting; current ARRT and State License; MRI Registry (required within 18 months of hire or 18 months of initial training date); BLS certification.

Phlebotomist

Collects blood specimens at the Hospital, Milford Medical Lab, Patient Service Center’s (Out labs), Physician Office Collection Stations and Nursing Homes. Delivers specimens to the Laboratory.  Travels to nursing homes and remote collection stations as required. Registers patient in Meditech if required. Order-enters all requested patient testing. Receives all collected specimens into Meditech. Generates and processes Meditech Collection Batches at the appointed. Collects STAT’s; using the Meditech generated specimen labels.  Processes all specimens and requisitions, insuring that the documentation and the specimens are distributed as required.   Answers general Laboratory telephones and performs other clerical duties as required. Physician Assistant / ADVANCED PRACTICE RN - Surgical

Primarily to provide first assist on a variety of surgical cases including general surgery, gynecology, orthopedic, thoracic and vascular.  Also will have patient rounding and ED coverage responsibilities and call rotation.  A Connecticut PA or APRN and at least 1 year of surgical experience are required.  Experience in internal medicine is a plus.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST- Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
